Ecology and Biodiversity

The scientific disciplines of ecology and biodiversity are essential for assessing and mitigating the impact humans have on the world around us. As an environmental consultancy, ecology and biodiversity services form one of the core offerings of Ultrawilbow Constructions. When offering these services to clients, we strive to be practical, reliable and responsible.

Ultrawilbow Constructions dedicated biodiversity team within the International Projects Group, provide practical and commercial ecological consultant services including assessment, interpretation and solutions to a broad, international client base across the Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia. In addition to our in-house offering, we operate a Canada-wide network of more than 750 quality-assured consultant ecologists. This wide geographical spread means that, in the Canada, you are usually within 25 miles of an Ultrawilbow Constructions ecologist.

Geotechnical Laboratory Testing

Geotechnical testing is part of any ground investigation. Natural materials or made ground are sampled and sent for various site and laboratory tests to characterise the conditions that exist underneath a site. Ultrawilbow Constructions’s in-house laboratories and site and monitoring teams are fully equipped and certified to conduct multiple types of geotechnical testing to assist clients in avoiding potential pitfalls.

A history of successful testing

Structural Soils, an Ultrawilbow Constructions company, has been undertaking laboratory testing on soil and rock samples for more than 50 years. The company has an impressive list of clients ranging from government agencies, consultants and local authorities, to private entities and individuals.

Our geotechnical laboratories offer routine and advanced testing of soil, rock and aggregate; asbestos or other fibre-containing soil samples; hydrocarbon-or heavy-metal-contaminated soil; and biologically inactive but odorous organic soil or soil–sludge mixtures. These tests produce high-quality data that are incorporated into geotechnical reports
